Stability limits for non-irradiated C/O discs, irradiated mixed-composition discs and irradiated solar-composition discs based on Menou et al. (2002) and Lasota et al. (2008). In both cases, the upper limits on the mass transfer rate reported in this work yield upper limits on Porb.
