Left: SKD halo (κh = 3.0) and a steeper falloff of the Maxwellian strahl in the antisunward direction. Middle: Maxwellian halo and a (much) hotter SKD strahl. Right: both the halo and the strahl have SKDs, and the topology is dominated by the hotter strahl (resembling the middle case) and is consistent with the corresponding growth rates.
