Histogram of the distribution of the Eddington ratio values (λEdd) of the samples considered in this work. We report: low-redshift type I AGN from BASS (Gupta et al. 2024, blue), low-redshift type I AGN from SDSSDR16 (Wu & Shen 2022, magenta), NLS1 (Jin et al. 2012b, cyan), LRDs (Yue et al. 2024, red), JWST-selected AGN (Maiolino et al. 2025, orange), and SEAMBHs (Du et al. 2014, 2015, yellow).
