Cosmic evolution of [P/Fe], with [P/Fe]<1, as a function of [Fe/H]. Data from solar-type stars (Roederer et al. (2014); Roederer et al. (2016, filled and empty squares), Caffau et al. (2016, 2019, filled and empty triangles), Masseron et al. (2020, circles), Maas et al. (2022, crosses), and Nandakumar et al. (2022, plus signs)) are compared to massive stars in the solar neighbourhood (our work, dots). The red five-pointed star marks the cosmic P abundance, the solar photospheric abundance (Asplund et al. 2021) is also indicated (⊙). Typical error bars are indicated in the top left corner. The larger crosses are for the five most metal-poor sources; the smaller crosses are for the others.
