Bolometric luminosity versus redshift distribution for our quasar sample, reported as teal stars, flanked by other datasets from the literature covering different redshift regimes. We include the hyper-luminous WISSH quasars at z = 2 − 4 (Bischetti et al. 2017; Vietri et al. 2018), XQ-100 at z ∼ 4 (López et al. 2016), E-XQR-30 at z ≳ 6 (D’Odorico et al. 2023), and two z ≳ 6 datasets from Yang et al. (2021) and Farina et al. (2022). Our sample covers a unique redshift regime bridging cosmic noon and the epoch of reionisation.
