Synthetic spectra in the K band for molecules present in the Earth’s atmosphere, calculated for an airmass of 1, and an IWV of 1 mm for water. The first, second, and third panels show the spectra of the dominant species CO₂, CH₄, and H₂O, while the fourth panel shows the less dominant contributors N₂O and CO. The bottom panel shows the combined spectrum.
