Five different HLC mask designs explored for manufacturing on THD2. Option (a) is the original mask for Roman CGI (Trauger et al. 2016), option (b) is its projection on 144 Zernikes, option (c) is a projection on a single Zernike (piston), option (d) is reduced to a π phase shift, and option (e) is a CLC with an opaque mask of zero transmission and zero phase.
