Convergence study on the impact of the zoom-in factor on the radiative response of clouds in a region spanning 10° in latitude and in longitude. The MAX-RAN and the EXP-RAN overlap methods are both shown for three wavelengths in the visible and NIR range. The reflectance is normalized to its value without zoom-in. The vertical dashed line represents a zoom-in factor of 3, which will be used for most of the results below as it provides the optimal balance between convergence and computational cost.
