The figure shows the composite spectra for low and high Eddington ratio BAL quasars, smoothed using a Savitzky-Golay filter with a five-pixel window and third-order polynomial to enhance spectral clarity. The VandenBerk 2001 quasar composite is also shown for comparison. The inset shows a zoomed region of CIV BAL absorption, highlighting that low Eddington ratio sources have BAL features at lower velocities, while high Eddington ratio sources show absorption at higher velocities.
