The darker regions are partly covered by lighter regions as all the regions extend up to the upper axis. All regions share a similar triangular shape, which is pushed towards the upper left corner of the plot as M_• increases, effectively shrinking the available cliffhanger region for a < R_inf. For M_• = 10⁷ M_⊙ the whole cliffhanger region is located outside the a = R_inf line.
