Result of processing a stack of 500 images of a simulated binary object composed of a single star (HIP 52457) and a fake companion displaced 2.25 pixels using the LIST algorithm. The intensity of the fake companion is divided by (a) 1, (b) 2, (c) 10 and (d) 25 with respect to the intensity of the main star. The field of view is 1.050″×0.805″ in all four figures.
