Crops of the POS 1 polarized images of the jet polarization from the five epochs examined in this paper (from 1995, top, to 1999, bottom). The images have been rotated from their normal appearances on the sky by 18°, in such a way that the horizontal axis is along a position angle of ∼270°. The locations of the main jet features are marked in black, following the nomenclature of Biretta et al. (1999). The total flux is color-coded and the polarization is encrypted in the same way as in Fig. 1.
