Stellar mass as a function of [α/Fe] for 6601 stars with [M/H]=−0.375±0.025 dex, using the Galactic azimuthal velocity as colour code. Thick disc stars, with lower Vϕ velocities, lower masses, and higher [α/Fe], define a mass-[α/Fe] sequence separated from thin disc stars.
