Table 1

Assumed initial parameters of lunar-ejected particles for simulations.

Parameter Value
Bulk density 3500 kg/m3
Mass production rate 0.2 kg/s
rmin 0.2 μm
rmax 100 μm
vmin 0.95 vesc
vmax 2.00 vesc

Notes. The values of the bulk density and the mass production rate for lunar-ejected particles are from Solomon (1974) and Pokornỳ et al. (2019), respectively. The variables rmin and rmax are the minimum and maximum radii of lunar-ejected particles. The variables vmin and vmax are the minimum and maximum ejection velocities, the values of which are from the measurement of the LDEX (Horányi et al. 2015), and vesc is the escape velocity from the lunar surface.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
