Distribution of galaxy templates in the colour–colour diagram. The lime-green lines define the demarcation used to select GV galaxies (Moutard et al. 2020). Cyan dots are GV galaxies, identified using the true sSFR at z = 0.3. Green (red) circles around the cyan dots show galaxies that are correctly identified (misidentified) as GV galaxies according to colour–colour selection. The colour bar on the side shows the number of galaxies.
