Merger fraction as a function of AGN fraction and BHAR. Top: fmerger as a function of fAGN. The fAGN bin width is 0.15 and fmerger is plotted at the centre of each bin. Errors are calculated through binomial statistics. Qualitatively similar trends in fmerger vs fAGN are seen for all three AGN types, namely a mildly increasing fmerger at fAGN < 0.8, followed by a rapid increase to fmerger ∼80–100% when the AGN is very dominant. Bottom: fmerger as a function of BHAR and the equivalent AGN bolometric luminosity Ldisc.
