Probability distribution function of the dissipation rate required to reproduce the column density of carbon at high pressure along the N lines of sight of JT11, assuming that all the shocks intercepted by these lines of sight are identical and defined by the parameters of the standard model: nH0=1 cm3$\[n_{\mathrm{H}}^0=1 \mathrm{~cm}^{-3}\]$, B0 = 1 μG, and VS = 80 km s−1. The probability distribution function is normalised so that its integral is equal to one.
