Illustrative examples of planetary growth tracks falling within the 3σ box for planet b. The growth tracks are projected in the semima-jor axis–planetary mass space. All successful tracks are associated with formation regions comprised between 1 and 4 a and have planetary cores of about 2 M_⊕.
