Table 1.

Parameters used to generate the ICs of the galaxy models used in the simulations.

Galaxy Mdm [109M] a [kpc] M [107M] (h, z) [kpc] (Re, sat [kpc], m) MH I [107M] hgas [kpc]
NGC 5238 3.44 2.07 8.9 (0.52, 0.052) 2.74 0.52
Satellite 0.3 0.99 0.02 (0.15, 0.015) 0.015 0.3
UGC 8760 1.91 1.87 2 (0.275, 0.028) 2.64 0.55
Satellite 0.15 0.5 0.06 (0.15, 0.75)

Notes. Mdm and a are the dark-matter mass and scale radius (Eqs. (1) and (12)); if the stellar component is a disc, then M, h and z are the total stellar mass, scale length and scale height of the disc, respectively (Eq. (2)); otherwise M, Re, sat and m are the total stellar mass, the effective radius and the Sérsic index of the corresponding Sérsic model, respectively (Eq. (13)). hgas is the gas disc scale length (Eq. (3)), MH I is the H I mass and the Helium mass (MHe) is always 0.35 MH I.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
