Reference star subtracted images in the three coronagraphic filters (left to right: F1065C, F1140C, F1550C) for a variety of algorithms: amoeba (same as in Fig. 1 without masking the planets), amoeba sub. (same as in Fig. 1 with subtracting the planets’ diffraction models, median (median combination of the 9 small grid dithers), PCA (principal component analysis of the 9 small grid dithers), and PCA lib (principal component analysis using two other reference stars observed at commissioning, hence totalling 18 small grid dithers). The field of view is 12 × 12”. The intensity scale is adapted in each panel for visualisation purposes.
