Halo scale heights vs. radio diameter, both in kiloparsecs. The sample galaxies are shown in stars, and the linear fit in dotted line, with a slope of 0.028 ± 0.009 and an intercept of 0.4 ± 0.1. The direct relation between these quantities cannot be explained by attributable to any selection criteria, and we consider its origin physical.
