Fraction of unbarred galaxies that experienced a major or minor merger since z = 1 for the disc and lenticular descendants. Error bars represent the Poisson errors of each sample. The highest fraction of major or minor mergers corresponds to those galaxies that form a bar, whereas the lowest ratios are presented by unbarred galaxies that were not able to form a bar.
