Observable influence of the orbit and jet on the spectra. The top panel gives the dynamic observed spectra of the Hα profile of the post-AGB star HD 52961 folded onto the orbital period. The initial phase is random. The lower panel gives the same but for the C I multiplet around 7115 Å. The orbital phase is shown twice to guide the eye.
