From top to bottom are shown the profile of particle number density, radial speed, plasma pressure, and the radial, and longitudinal components of magnetic field. The perturbation front reaches 13.3 R⊙ in approximately 3.2 h from its insertion time, while the switchback itself, identified with increase in radial speed and the polarity reversal of magnetic field, follows shortly after. The four vertical blue dashed lines mark the corresponding snapshots shown in Fig. 2.
