Bad pixels in the NIX detector that are adjacent to other bad pixels. The greyscale denotes the number of adjacent bad pixels, from 0 to 8. This representation highlights regions of clustered bad pixels, and ignores lone ones that can easily be corrected. To indicate the edge of the frame, the four rows and four columns of reference pixels all around the edge of the 2048 × 2048 detector have also been marked as bad pixels.
