Visual representation of the difference between Fout and Fin(t) during the transit of a planet with an atmosphere. The result is the stellar spectrum that has been absorbed by the planet and its atmosphere at a specific time. The blue and red colours represent the Doppler shift in wavelength caused by the stellar rotation.
