Monte Carlo radiative transfer modeling of the intrinsic V-band polarization emerging from a Seyfert AGN with only one supermassive black hole at its center. Three models, with varying torus half-opening angles (30°, 45° and 60°, with respect to the vertical axis of the system) are shown. In all cases, the ionization cones fill the solid angle funneled by the torus. The averaged V-band VLT/FORS2 polarimetric measurement, corrected for host dilution (0.48% ± 0.06%), is reported in gray.
