Continuum images from HMI showing the evolution of the sunspot in NOAA AR 12776 spanning around our ground-based observations on 2020-10-16 that started at 8:10 UT. The center right plot shows the data from 12 min after 2020-10-16T20:34 because that data was affected by a lunar eclipse ending at 19:53 UT. The time separation is 12 h for the maps above the horizontal line and 24 h for the maps below.
