Correlation between the galaxy redshift and that of its nth nearest angular neighbour (n = {1,2,3,4}, left to right), as seen in the VIPERS redshift survey data, which cover the range 0.5 < z < 1.2. Clearly, while a tight correlation exists for a number of objects, many other angular pairs just correspond to chance superpositions.
