Time-averaged reconstructions of Sgr A* obtained from the GRMHD synthetic observations for the different array configurations. The leftmost image shows the static representation of the GRMHD simulation used as ground truth movie. The Eastern array without the AMT (second image) does not resolve the shadow of the black hole. The addition of the AMT significantly impacts the fidelity of the reconstruction, and a further improvement is obtained with the African array (third image). The rightmost image shows the averaged reconstruction produced using the Western array alone. The images were blurred with a Gaussian FWHM equal to 0.6 × clean beam of the 2022EHT + Africa data set.
