Overview of mosaics taken during Campaign I, starting from the solar limb on the left and going to disk center on the right. The mosaics span roughly 1000 × 80″. Top: continuum near the blue wing of Fe I 6301 Å. Bottom: line center of Ca II 8542 Å. It can be seen that the Sun seems to extend past μ = 0 in the chromosphere.
