Luminosity structure of MESA set 3 models at ages 9.257, 9.653, and 11.644 Gyr. Blue curves correspond to the models without added heating; red to those with heating as given by model 63; green by heating ten times that given by model 63. The tidally heated models have a surface luminosity that is larger than the nonheated models, but lower luminosity in deeper layers.
