B, V and R composite mosaic image of NGC 6611 (ESO, press release 0926). We overplot the near-infrared Hubble Space Telescope image of the centre of NGC 6611 (ESA/Hubble). The purple cross indicates the centre of NGC 6611, with three white dashed circles with radii of 0.1, 0.5 and 1.5 pc at a distance of 1.70 kpc. We show the motion of the O stars and their position at t = –130 kyr relative to NGC 6611, coloured similarly as in Figure 9, with the error ellipse giving the uncertainty on the proper motion.
