Image of NGC 922 (labelled with S) and its companion S2 (top right) from the GALEX GR6/7 data release. This GALEX-UV image shows that both systems host strong UV emission, which may indicate active star formation. As it is mentioned in Fig. 4, the UV-luminous smaller galaxy to the south of S2 is possibly a background distant galaxy. The field of view is about 10.5×10.5 arcmin. North is up and east is left.
