How the separation between bodies and rotation periods changes over time, for four selected simulations. The top row shows the separation, while the middle and bottom rows show the rotation period of the primary and secondary, respectively. The mass ratios of the collision, stable, escape, and unstable examples are q = 0.29,0.32,0.15, and 0.19 respectively, with corresponding initial rotation periods of T0 = 4.87,5.87,5.42, and 5.56 h.
