Time evolution of the total gas mass of all gas that has T < 10⁶ K (M_warm + M_cold, top panel), the warm gas mass (M_warm, 10⁴ K < T < 10⁶ K, middle panel), and the cold gas mass (M_cold, T < 10⁴ K, bottom panel) in the galaxy cluster under the influence of different physical mechanisms as indicated in the top inset. With weak CRs, a cooling catastrophe is avoided, and with strong CRs, the bulk of the condensed gas is maintained in the warm phase for long periods of time.
