Time evolution of the total gas mass of all gas that has T < 106 K (Mwarm + Mcold, top panel), the warm gas mass (Mwarm, 104 K < T < 106 K, middle panel), and the cold gas mass (Mcold, T < 104 K, bottom panel) in the galaxy cluster under the influence of different physical mechanisms as indicated in the top inset. With weak CRs, a cooling catastrophe is avoided, and with strong CRs, the bulk of the condensed gas is maintained in the warm phase for long periods of time.
