Comparison of the observed shell radii with the modeled evolution of shell radii for alternative MOND gravitational potentials of NGC 474. The meaning is analogous to Fig. 2, but here we explored a larger variety of gravitational potentials. Top left: External field of NGC 470 is taken into account. The neighbor is assumed to be at a distance of 2Dmin. Top right: The same, but for the distance of NGC 470 of Dmin. Middle left: MOND gravitational potential for no external field assuming mass derived from Jeans anisotropic modeling (Cappellari et al. 2013). Middle right: Default MOND potential. Bottom left: Whole mass of the galaxy is considered to be concentrated in a single point to demonstrate the level of sensitivity of the shell evolution models with respect to the modeling of the mass distribution of the galaxy. Bottom right: Effective radius of the galaxy in the default model was multiplied by two for the same reason.
