Flow chart showing the process used to identify the optical host galaxy of the sources in the sample of 22 candidate remnant radio galaxies. Numbers represent the source ID as listed in Table 1. This flow chart presents the identification criteria used for a range of morphologies of remnant radio galaxies, so as to make the OC identification reproducible in future studies.
