Notes. The time required after the first pericenter for all the galaxies in our study to form 100% of their stellar mass assuming the limiting SSFR for active star formation of 10−11 yr−1, and a typical rate for star forming galaxies at z ∼ 0.25 of SSFR = 3 × 10−10 yr−1 (Madau & Dickinson 2014). All the galaxies have completely quenched within a few Myr to ∼1 Gyr after the first pericenter using either of the two approaches.
