Table E.2
Information regarding the maximum deviation from τ of the simulated reduced events for the four events listed in Table 1 of the main paper.
Event | Missing end | Missing beginning | Missing beginning and end | ||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
% of used data | Max deviation of τ in% | Max. deviation / τall data | % of used data | Max deviation of τ (%) | Max. deviation / τall data | % of used data | Max deviation of τ (%) | Max. deviation / τall data | |
1 Dec. 2016 (faint and slow) | 50 | 0.28 | 0.40 | 80 | 1.16 | 1.69 | 95 | 0.22 | 0.33 |

18 Aug. 2018 (faint and fast) | 50 | 0.09 | 0.21 | 95 | 0.17 | 0.39 | 95 | 0.31 | 0.73 |
16 Oct. 2019 (bright and slow) | 50 | 0.90 | 1.24 | 95 | 3.66 | 5.02 | 95 | 1.04 | 1.42 |
Notes. The corresponding calculated values for τ for the simulated curves are shown in Table E.1. The largest deviation of the determined value for τ, compared to the τ-value where all data were used, τall data, is listed (for τ in %), as well as the percentage of data used from which this value results. The relative deviation is also indicated. Again, this is shown for the three cases: missing parts of the end of the trajectory, missing parts of the beginning of the trajectory, as well as missing parts of the beginning and end of the trajectory.
