Images of NGC 7052, a prolate rotator that is not part of our sample. Left: original HST image; right: residual image of the one on the left. The image in the right panel has been obtained by combining two different models, IRAF’s 1D ellipse for inner parts and GALFIT for outer parts, see Appendix A for more details. Both panels have the same field of view. North is up, east is to the left. The newly discovered shell, especially clearly visible in the residual image, is situated about 42″ in the northeast direction.
