Sensitivity of the depths of TiO bands (i.e., band-strength indices, see Sect. 3.4) to the effective temperature as computed from the synthetic spectra of 1D MARCS model atmospheres with a fixed log g. The figure clearly shows that the TiO 7125 Å band is the most sensitive to Teff, whereas the TiO 5847 Å band is the least sensitive.
