The predictions of the AMES-Cond ‘hot start’ model, which extends to ≃14 MJup, are depicted as a red line (with the shaded area corresponding to the uncertainty on the age). Two synthetic populations generated by core accretion are also shown: CB753, corresponding to core accretion with cold nominal accretion and CB752, with hot accretion. These two populations are valid for 20 Myr and take into account the core-mass effect (Mordasini 2013).
