Similar to Fig. 3, but now showing the evolution of the optical and near-infrared properties of model m20mix100vnimH9 from 150 to 500 d after explosion. With increasing time, the conditions become increasingly “nebular”, with a relative strengthening of forbidden line emission, and the progressive reduction of optical depth effects (for example with the disappearance of P-Cygni profiles). This evolution is similar to reducing the 56Ni mass at a given SN age (see Fig. 11).
