Contribution function for the synthetic spectra of the ultra hot version of HD 209458b in the case of a high C/O ratio. The TiO feature primarily comes from the upper levels in the atmosphere, in the region of the atmosphere that depends on both photodissociation and vertical mixing. On the other hand, the H₂O feature originates from deeper in the atmosphere, overlapping the chemical equilibrium region.
