Right: color-color diagram of the Toothbrush B1 region made at resolution and superimposed with the JP (red), KP (green), CI (gray), and KGJP (blue) spectral aging models obtained with αinj = −0.65. The data match the KGJP-model reasonably well, indicating that the spectral behavior can be understood assuming a propagating shock front which is slightly inclined to the line of sight. The color bar shows the distance from the shock front in kiloparsecs. Left: color-color diagram of the B2 and B3 regions compared to the B1 region. The spectra of the B2 and B3 regions are apparently more curved than those of the B1 region. The KGJP curves are for particles injected continuously for about 0.3 × 108 yr and B = 5μG. To extract spectral index values, we create squared boxes with a width of , corresponding to a physical size of about 20 kpc. Spectral index values were extracted from maps created using images IM6, IM11, IM15, and IM19 (see Table 2 for image properties).
Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
