Cooling and acceleration times for populations of primary particles in the inner jet. We consider two cases for the location of the acceleration region. It is observed that while the protons reach a lower maximum energy when the acceleration region is located at a higher distance from the binary system, the electrons cool less efficiently. This is because of the difference between the dominant cooling processes for both particle populations.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
