Thermal-infrared fits of the ATPM to the ESO VLT VISIR data of (1917) Cuyo. This fit was obtained using the nominal shape model with a thermal inertia of 44 J m −2 K−1 s−1∕2 and a surface roughness fraction of 0.5. The dips in the observed flux of Cuyo at rotation phases of ~ 0.05 and ~ 0.45 on September 5 and December 17, respectively, are likely due to short changes in weather conditions and, therefore, were not considered further in our analysis. The error bars represent the 1σ uncertainties on the measured flux data points, and the different wavelengths used are colour-coded.
