The shaded areas in the right panels correspond to the standard deviations of the points using the same running filter as for the means. For readability, we do not show the standard deviations of the dE(N)s, but they are similar to the ones of dE(nN)s. The black crosses in the left panels show the typical errorbars associated to the values at given magnitudes.
