Table 1.

Overview of the acceleration functions currently available in STELLAR_WIND.PY.

Name Equation Use
constant_velocity υ(r) = υ Wide binaries
rsquared Hot stars
delayed_rsquared Cool stars
logistic AGB winds
agb AGB winds
beta_law Hot/cool stars

Notes. Either the acceleration (a) or the velocity (υ) is given depending on which is simpler. The corresponding υ or a function can be derived using and the known boundary conditions. Some functions allow user defined parameters to affect the functions (e.g. racc_start, rmid, β, etc.) The first three functions are rough approximations to the last three functions. Their advantage is that they are computationally faster.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.

Initial download of the metrics may take a while.
